Townsend Security to Exhibit at the PASS Summit 2011 in Seattle, WA

Townsend Security will be  exhibiting at the PASS Summit 2011, October 12-13, in Seattle, WA.  Townsend Security recently announced a new encryption key management appliance that plugs in seamlessly to Microsoft® SQL Server® enterprise edition and will be featuring the product at the PASS Summit for the first time.  While at the PASS Summit, Townsend Security will work with SQL Server customers as well as Microsoft business partners who are interested in providing cost-effective encryption key management solutions that meet compliance requirements for data privacy.

 

PASS Summit 2011 attendees will be among the first to see the newly announced hardware security module (HSM), Alliance Key Manager for SQL Server.  Because cost should not be a barrier to compliance, Townsend’s key management appliance is the first of its kind to competitively priced  for small and medium businesses on a limited budget.

 

The new key management HSM provides comprehensive key management for Microsoft’s SQL Server customers who must meet regulatory compliance requirements for encryption and encryption key management.  Alliance Key Manager securely stores encryption keys on a separate device away from the database server that holds the encrypted data.   It allows administrators to easily enforce separation of duties by controlling who has access to the encrypted data server and encryption key server.
