Unstructured Data/Messaging
Protect Sensitive Data
Flat Files
Sensitive data is often extracted to flat files or Comma Separated Values (CSV) files for transmission to trading partners or other systems in the Enterprise. Disk, File, and Database level encryption can’t protect the sensitive data as these types of files move through the Enterprise and to external entities like suppliers and vendors.
Alliance AES Encryption provides support for encrypting this data through a published AES encryption API set. The encryption API set is the same on all support platforms including Windows, Linux, Unix, IBM i (AS/400, iSeries), and IBM System z Mainframe. Combined with Alliance Key Manager you can protect sensitive data in your unstructured flat files.
Alliance Token Manager provides the ability to tokenize sensitive data before it is exported to outside entities or other applications. With the ability to create non-recoverable tokens you can be sure that no loss of data by a trading partner ever results in a reportable data breach.
Windows File Server
Windows file servers are often used to receive FTP, Web upload, SharePoint, and other files. Alliance File Encryption Manager for Windows provides an application that can secure your Windows files with strong 256-bit AES encryption until you move the files to an internal server for processing. Alliance File Encryption Manager provides command line decryption utilities for Windows, IBM i, and Linux platforms. You can be sure that your sensitive data is never exposed on your Windows file server.
Messages
Many high volume transaction applications make use of messaging systems to deliver data between operating systems and applications. Common messaging applications include IBM WebSphere MQ (MQSeries), Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS), and Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ). When sensitive data is transmitted via a message broker it is important to secure it with proper encryption or tokenization. Alliance AES Encryption APIs provide a high performance method of encrypting information before queuing, and decrypting when the message is dequeued. When combined with Alliance Token Manager for key management the solution is ideal to meet compliance regulations.
